Photographes et artistes, Nathalie Houdin et Florence Devaux se sont installées en Périgord Noir, séduites par une bâtisse du XIXᵉ siècle ouverte sur l’horizon. Après d’importants travaux, elles ont transformé l’ancienne grange en galerie d’art photographique, concrétisant un projet de vie porté par la passion.
La galerie, adossée à la roche, offre un cadre spectaculaire. L’esthétique est résolument contemporaine et minérale : la pierre brute dialogue avec le métal de l’escalier et le bois de la charpente d’origine. Un univers épuré, puissant et énergisant, où matières naturelles et œuvres d’art se répondent dans une atmosphère vibrante et lumineuse.
Ouverte de juin à septembre, la galerie propose des expositions temporaires de photographes sélectionnés avec exigence pour l’originalité et la qualité de leur démarche artistique. Les tirages d’art présentés sur deux étages sont disponibles à la vente, et un espace boutique complète la visite.
Photographers and artists Nathalie Houdin and Florence Devaux settled in the Périgord Noir after being captivated by a 19th-century building opening onto the horizon. Following extensive renovation work, they transformed the former barn into a photographic art gallery, bringing to life a passion-driven life project.
Set against the rock face, the gallery offers a spectacular setting. The aesthetic is decidedly contemporary and mineral: raw stone engages in dialogue with the metal staircase and the wood of the original roof structure. It is a refined, powerful, and energizing space, where natural materials and works of art echo one another in a vibrant, light-filled atmosphere.
Open from June to September, the gallery presents temporary exhibitions by photographers carefully selected for the originality and quality of their artistic approach. Fine art prints displayed over two floors are available for purchase, and a boutique space completes the visit.
